American Chemical Society (ACS) is world's largest association of scientists, with more than 165,000 members including young budding scientists, established scientists, and then really established scientists (yup, Nobel Prize Winners). I met many many people at the conference, and pretty much everyone including reporters were all PhDs.
All of them were very very nice (no crazy scientists). I had my very own and my very first press conference, and I talked 5 times on the show floor to crowds ranging from 15 to even as much as 75-100.
